Brazilians, Alexei and Emilia each have more than 25 years of experience in different dance styles, as dancers, teachers and choreographers.
Since 2012 they have been developing a work together that brings together their knowledge of Cuban music and dance (Son, Casino, Timba, Rumba, Afro), combining technique, roots and street with their Bahia flavor and creating a fresh style that breaks patterns and plays with different possibilities.
Alexei discovered Salsa at a show by the first Brazilian Salsa group, Rumbaiana, in 1997. Shortly after, he had the opportunity to learn the basics of Salsa NY Style with the American dancer Shaka Brown, who lived for a few months in Salvador de Bahia.
In 2004 he began his career at a national level teaching at major conferences and events throughout Brazil as a specialist dancer in Salsa NY. He left his career in business administration and began studying dance.
In 2010 he moved to Milan to work as principal dancer for Fonts Co, led by maestro Maykel Fonts, dancing in the main festivals in Italy and other European countries.
Emilia began her first steps in dance at the age of 5, with Jazz classes and over the years she also studied Ballet, HipHop and Contemporary, as well as music classes. At the age of 12 she began couple dance classes such as Samba Gafieira, Forró and Salsa.
In 2009, she began to discover Cuban music and dance through Alexei, with whom she began training in Salsa with a professional goal.
Graduated from the University in 2010 in Physical Education, she combines her dance experience with knowledge such as biomechanics, pedagogy and teaching methodology. In 2012 she began her professional work in Salsa with Alexei.
